Benzenes occur naturally as a part of oil, cigarette smoke, gasoline, car emissions and are often used in making many other products. They can cause cancers such as leukemia, irregular menstrual periods, and a dangerous form of anemia.

Due to the hazards, employers are required to ensure safe levels of benzenes in the workplace. Air quality monitoring can detect if levels fall within acceptable occupational exposure levels(OELs). For more information, please contact our hygiene team.
